I came to the U.S. in 1979 as a political refugee, and growing up, my family always rented because no one helped guide my parents through the process of buying a home. That experience shaped my passion for helping others find the stability and security that comes with owning property.

After law school, I chose to open a mortgage company instead of practicing law. Since 1999, I’ve been helping people navigate home financing, and in 2004, I expanded into real estate to provide an even more complete service.

While my husband’s family still owns the home he grew up in—along with those of his father and grandfather—I never had that foundation.

I spent part of my childhood in a refugee camp, so homeownership isn’t just a career for me; it’s a deeply personal mission. Buying my first home in my 20s, a one-bedroom condo, showed me the true value of having a place to call your own. A home isn’t just a place—it’s security, stability, and a foundation for future generations.
